Dr. Sonal has practicing Homeopathy in Hong Kong at Integrative Medicine Institute for 5 years now. She has been in private practice for the past 14 years with Clinics in Mumbai and Bangalore.

A firm believer in the harmony of the Mind- Body-Spirit Relationship, Dr. Sonal is most appreciated for her practical complementary approach to complex chronic illness and healing the patient with natural holistic treatment.

Using Homeopathic medicines Dr. Sonal, helps strengthen and balance the immune system and reduce the tendency to recurrent infections, coughs, colds, bronchitis and allergies.
Her forte includes treatments of ADD and learning disabilities, sensory integration issues, atopic dermatitis and allergy. Dr. Sonal’s unique approach in giving homeopathy has brought under control asthma, allergic rhinitis, allergic bronchitis, eczema and skin complaints that had not yielded to conventional therapies.

Healing behavioural issues in children and adolescents with homeopathy is her passion. Dr. Sonal is respected for her pioneering work in the homeopathic treatment of childhood developmental disorders including autism.

Due to her special interest in autism Dr. Sonal observed and trained under a speech and language pathologist, occupational therapists, sensory integration therapists to improve her understanding and communication skills with children with developmental delay. She was a key speaker at the ‘National Conference for Autism’ in Bangalore, India in 2005.

Dr Sonal is on the Professional Advisory Committee of Peegaboo Publishing Group.

Dr. Sonal has earned her B.H.M.S degree from Bombay University (B.H.M.S is a comprehensive five and-a-half year program) and H.M.D from The British Institute  of Homoeopathy, London.  She has completed a certificate course in Child Guidance and Parent Counseling from S. N. D. T University, Mumbai and a Certificate course in Learning Disabilities from ‘The Bangalore Children’s Hospital.’  Other Post graduate courses Dr. Sonal has completed include Certificates in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics from the well respected Wadia Women and Children’s Hospital in Mumbai. She is a Registered Homeopath with the Homeopathic Medical Council in India.As she found a need in her practice, Dr. Sonal studied a basic cantonese speaking course with The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008

Besides a busy practice and being a hands-on mom, Dr. Sonal enjoys sharing information on Homeopathy. The Homeopathic courses that she conducts at IMI are well received. She contributes to journals, websites and magazines in Hong Kong and around the world. Her articles have been published in The Hong Kong Parent’s Journal, The South China Morning Post, The Light ( A yellow bus publication), The Gulf Daily News, Gulf News, The Deccan Herald to name a few .
